1. Scope and who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how Autana Energy (“Autana,” “we,” “us” or “our”) handles personal information when you visit this website, contact us or engage with our business activities. It is intended for a professional and institutional audience.
This notice addresses applicable United States privacy requirements and the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (Texas Business & Commerce Code Chapter 541). Rights and obligations may vary according to your residence, the nature of our relationship and statutory exemptions.
2. Information we handle
Information you provide
When you communicate with Autana, we may receive your name, company, business email address, professional contact details, the content of your message and records of subsequent correspondence.
Website and device information
Our hosting infrastructure may generate limited technical logs, such as IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, referring page, date and time, and security events. The website also stores your English or Spanish language selection locally in your browser.
See our Cookie Policy for details about browser storage and Google Fonts.
3. How we use and disclose information
We use information only as reasonably necessary to respond to enquiries, evaluate potential business relationships, operate and secure the website, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, prevent misuse and establish or defend legal claims.
We may disclose information to website, communications and security providers acting for us; professional advisers; public authorities when legally required; or a successor in connection with a corporate transaction. We require service providers to handle information consistently with their role and applicable law.
Contact form provider
When online delivery is activated and you submit the contact form, the information is processed by FormSubmit, which transmits the enquiry to Autana by email and may use Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam and abuse. FormSubmit states that it retains submissions for 30 days. The providers’ own privacy terms also apply.
Autana does not sell personal data, use it for targeted advertising, or use website information for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where Autana or its providers operate. Where applicable, we use safeguards appropriate to the transfer and the information involved.
4. United States and Texas privacy rights
Depending on the law that applies and subject to statutory exceptions, you may request confirmation of whether we process your personal data, access a portable copy, correct inaccuracies, delete personal data, or appeal a decision concerning a request. Texas residents may also opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data and certain significant profiling; Autana does not currently conduct those activities through this website.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. We may verify your identity and retain information where permitted or required by law. Authorized agents may submit a request where recognized by applicable law, subject to verification of their authority.
Texas residents may also review information or file a complaint with the Texas Attorney General.
5. Retention and security
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including responding to enquiries, maintaining appropriate business records, resolving disputes and meeting legal obligations. Retention periods vary according to the information and our relationship with you.
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
6. Children’s privacy
This website is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action consistent with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act and applicable law.
7. Changes, requests and contact
We may update this Policy when our practices, services or legal obligations change. The revised version will be posted here with an updated effective date.
